Word of mouth is the best referral
Are you anxious about permanent makeup or medical tattooing treatment? Word of mouth is the best referral system there is
Word of mouth is the best referral system there is. It enables patients to feel comfortable knowing that you have performed great treatments on someone they know, that person trusts you, and they feel safer and more protected.
Treatments can be a minefield: finding a practitioner, gaining all the information, making an informed decision, putting your trust in someone, expectations, and not knowing what’s going to happen. Hopefully, most of this is discussed during the consultation, but even getting to the consultation stage can take years. And then the travelling to the clinic, waiting for your treatment time, meeting your practitioner for the first time.
For people that are feeling anxious and unsure, the process needs to be as smooth and informed as possible.
I was told about a lady that really wanted her brows done but was so nervous about getting a look that she didn’t like, that she kept putting it off for a long time. Another patient of mine knew her, and would speak about the treatment, about the natural effect that can be achieved, and suggested that she came to see me, with a friend or a family member, and just have a chat. She agreed to this, and we spent time talking about what she wanted to achieve and how this could be done. I also drew some very natural brows on her to give an idea of what was possible. I’ll leave this wonderful lady to tell her own story…
“Well, the story of my journey… it’s a bit like how long have you got! The eyebrows were becoming a real issue. It seemed like one minute I had them and the next they were missing. I guess looking back it was a combination of events; age, menopause, stress, trauma, parents passing, etc. It was a real issue waking up and trying to draw them on. Being a perfectionist didn’t help. One would go better than the other, I’d do them and then it would rub off especially if I was wearing sunglasses. It was exhausting when I think back. It really got to my well-being.
I freaked out when my daughter mentioned tattooed eyebrows. The word tattoo meant permanent to me. It was like a rabbit in the headlights thinking about who and how and scared if it all went wrong! I kept looking at people’s eyebrows more than slightly obsessed.
At work I had a colleague who used to come into the office every so often and I just said one day to her ‘I love the shape of your eyebrows’, at that point, I hadn’t realised they were tattooed and we got chatting even though at this stage I was not ready to take the leap. Each time I saw her we went over things. It was all in the recommendation, I couldn’t just go to anyone. My colleague said Rae was the best practitioner she had found using the best products, as she had been to many before.
My colleague gave me her contact and even though Rae wasn’t local I felt it was well worth the trip.
Amy, my daughter was getting married that spring of 2019 so I really wanted to do something about it. Rae was so, so lovely. She listened to every need at every stage, which meant everything to me. I was also worried about eczema and having a reaction and we went through everything on a zoom call. We agreed we would meet to do a skin test and have a makeup session to get the correct shape from the photos I had found.
I was very comfortable with Rae’s approach and when I actually got an appointment I felt completely at ease. My eyebrows are now framing my face and making me feel complete. It started me on a journey of confidence of and becoming an independent woman and have just driven to Rae’s new premises on my own. For me, this is a huge step, and I am proud of myself!”
I am blessed to have found such wholesome beautiful people in my life and long may it continue.
