Combination treatments
Combination treatments can work well in many instances. There isn’t always one treatment that covers all requirements, so a mix may be needed to reach the desired result.
Here are the best combination treatments that I offer:
🔵Hypopigmentation mixed with Hyperpigmentation.
This can be caused by Laser Tattoo Removal / Birthmark Removal / Scarring / Skin Grafts / Sun damage and age-related skin changes.
Skin doesn’t always present with just one issue. Occasionally you can get lighter spotting that is caused by sun damage or other treatments such as laser, that harms the melanin in particular areas. This may be surrounded by darker areas of skin that cause concern as they are harder to cover up.
Hypopigmentation / lighter areas of skin / white spots can be treated with Skin Camouflage (Medical Tattooing). Your skin tone colour can be added by tattooing into the dermal layer of the skin, to repigment those particular areas. It is advisable if you are Skin Tone Fitzpatrick 4-6 to have a Patch test first, and then continue with treatment if there are no contraindications.
After tattooing to cover the white/lighter toned areas, you may find that the darker areas become more noticeable. Dark areas of skin cannot be tattooed with Medical Tattooing because the melanin contained in the dark patches will be stimulated by the treatment causing more hyperpigmentation and turning the area even darker sill.
However, Camouflage Cream works wonders on Hyperpigmentation and will cover it completely. It isn’t permanent in the same way Medical Tattooing is, but it does cover, and can last up to 12 hours on the face, and up to 2-3 days on the trunk and limbs. Camouflage cream is fully waterproof and transference proof, so you can feel safe that the coverage is stable, secure, and will not come off. 🔵Scarring mixed with Hyperpigmentation
This is treated in a similar way, where the scar presents as paler than the surrounding skin, this can be evened out with Skin Camouflage (Medical Tattooing). Often Hyperpigmentation is down one side of a scar, or mixed in with the whole scar. These areas need to be treated with care, and will often result in more sessions required.
🔵Scarring/Hypopigmentation in an area of hair/eyebrow/eyes.
The scarring or hypopigmentation will be treated as above, blending it into the surrounding skin, but in a hairline or an eyebrow this will still leave a visible gap. Hair strokes or hair follicle replication can be tattooed over these areas so no gap is visible. The colour will be matched to your own brow hairs, lashes, or hair follicle colour, so even when looking close up, you will barely be able to notice any change.
🔵Hypertrophic or Indented Scarring
The colour of the scarring can be treated with pigment as mentioned above but it does not treat the indentations or raised areas caused by scar tissue. These can be treated with Micro-needling. Micro-needling can be performed before, during, or after Medical tattooing.
Micro-needling is a treatment that uses small needles to cause tiny punctures in the skin. These small holes encourage the body to create a healing response as well as tighten, lift and rejuvenate the skin. The production of collagen and elastin is triggered as your skin repairs to give a smoother, firmer, and more toned effect.

For all treatments topical anaesthetic is used to make the treatment comfortable for you, the aftercare needs to be followed to ensure good healing and no risk of infection, and follow-up review is attended via Zoom to ensure long-lasting great results.
