Sometimes after surgery, the skin used for a phalloplasty does not look as realistic as it could. By using different techniques formulated by Rae, the skin can be made to look thinner, and the skin tone suitable and realistic with veins, shadows, and highlights.
During the consultation and initial session your personal requirements and expectations will be discussed and it will be agreed as to what you want to be achieved. Phalloplasty tattooing is often performed over three sessions. You will be in clinic for approximately two to three hours, with at least four weeks between sessions. It is not a painful procedure and anaesthetic can be applied if needed. After each treatment, a dressing will be applied and the aftercare explained in full. This will entail keeping the area dry for 2 days, after which you can shower and start applying the balm twice a day for five days, (morning and evening).
We will stay in contact with you during the healing to check all is going as planned. depending on your job, you should be able to carry on working and socialising. The healing time is generally three to seven days, but please refrain from swimming, sauna, sun bed, jacuzzi and s*x for at least 10 days.
