Presentation at a Rotary club last night. It had 3 main points:

1. My career background, from design to medical tattooing
2. Case Studies with supporting Before and After photographs
3. The charity I support and why this work has a positive impact on people.
This was a predominantly female members club, about 18 women & 3 men attended this talk. I was kindly introduced to everyone and thought that perhaps it would be even better received than my previous talk to a nearly all men club. My mistake. Really find out who your audience are and adjust your presentation appropriately. I was half way through and I could tell instinctively that this was too hard-hitting for some of these ladies. I had chosen Case Studies that were on the extreme level of the work I do. There were some upsetting stories and visuals. This is the work I do, and this is the life that’s out there, but I could have toned it down to get the message across in a more suitable way. IMG_3999
